Carter BloodCare Drive PDF Print E-mail

The Carter BloodCare Drive will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from noon–5 p.m. at Robinson City Hall. Why give blood? More than four million Americans would die each year, if not for blood donors. All participants will be eligible for a Chili’s gift card drawing. Mango Tango Shaved Ice will donate 17 coupons for the first 17 donors.

Blood donor guidelines:

  • Age: At least 16 years of age and in good general health. Sixteen-year-olds must have written parental consent.
  • Weight: Minimum of 110 pounds.
  • Eating: Eat a low-fat meal within two to four hours before giving.
  • Drinking: Drink lots of water or juice before and after donating. Avoid alcoholic beverages for 12 hours before and after donating.

For more information, please visit www.carterbloodcare.org  or call 1-800-DONATE-4.
