Emergency Notification System |
There will be a next time when the Emergency Notification System (ENS) needs to contact you. But, does the ENS have your correct contact information?
In the event of any future emergency, the city will use the ENS to contact residents and businesses to provide them with critical information. Those residents and businesses that do not have local AT&T “landline” service will only receive the emergency notification if they have registered their information with the ENS.
Currently the Heart of Texas Council of Governments (HOTCOG) is working with a new ENS vendor to help provide better service than has been previously experienced. However, the new system is still limited to citizens who provide correct information if they do not have a local, non-cellular AT&T telephone service.
