Karen Sanchez is the Finance Director for the City as well as supervising the Water Administration Department. Karen has been employed by the City since April 1983 and has been Finance Director since 1991. She oversees the city's revenues and expenses, monitors payment of bond indebtedness, oversees utility billing and collecting payments. Karen is the supervisor of the Finance Administrative Assistant, the Utility Clerks, and the Water Meter Readers.

Bank Draft Available

For residents who desire the service, Robinson Utilities has the ability to draw a draft against the customer's bank account, eliminating the need to write a check each month, hunt a stamp, or drive by the "drop box" to deposit the payment.
Many people already use bank drafts to make monthly payments for insurance policies or other purposes and realize the convenience of this arrangement.
Anyone interested in signing up may acquire an authorization form at the City Hall or online. Simply download the form, type out the information requested and then print the form. After printing the form, sign it, attach a voided check and take it to the City of Robinson Utility Department. DOWNLOAD THE BANKDRAFT FORM HERE.

Solid Waste Service

Collection, hauling and disposal of residential and small business solid waste is contracted to IESI. The service is supervised by an office located in McGregor, Texas. Robinson Utilities collects the fee for their services as a part of the regular utility bill and remits the funds to IESI monthly, less a 5% franchise fee and a 5% collection charge. Larger businesses desiring dumpster service may arrange to have their solid waste stream collected by any one of several firms providing that service on a competitive basis within the city.
