City of Robinson Municipal Energy Use for Calendar Year 2007 (January 31, 2008)

The City of Robinson purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy.  In calendar year 2007, the City purchased a total of 136 thousand cubic feet (MCF) of natural gas.

The City of Robinson purchases electricity from Direct Energy.  In calendar year 2007, the City purchased a total of 3,607,435 kilowatt hours.

The City of Robinson purchases water from Robinson Utilities.   In calendar year 2007, the City purchased a total of 194,600 gallons of water.

The total cost of natural gas, electricity and water purchased by the City in calendar year 2007 is $434,122.

This information is posted pursuant to the requirements of HB3693 (Government Code 2264.001 (b)

 

On September 11, 2007 the Robinson City Council Adopted a Tax Rate for 2007 of $.417000 on each $100 valuation of property

THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.48.

For residents who desire the service, Robinson Utilities now has the ability to draw a draft against the customer's bank account, eliminating the need to write a check each month, hunt a stamp, or drive by the "drop box" to deposit the payment.
Many people already use bank drafts to make monthly payments for insurance policies or other purposes and realize the convenience of this arrangement.
Anyone interested in signing up may acquire an authorization form at the City Hall or online. Simply download the form, type out the information requested and then print the form. After printing the form, sign it, attach a voided check and take it to the City of Robinson Utility Department. DOWNLOAD THE BANKDRAFT FORM HERE.
