Christmas Event & Tree Lighting

There will NOT be a tree lighting event or Santa pictures this year. Once the parade is over, all participants should return to the school in an appropriate ride and not gather. Please do NOT use floats to transport individuals back. Spectators should not gather after the parade is over.

Parade Rules

There is no entry fee to enter the parade, and anyone in the community is invited to enter including; businesses, churches, school groups, and other community organizations or individuals. (Sorry, there will be NO four-wheelers/ATVs, golf carts or motorcycles allowed in the parade.)

Line-up is based on first-come, first-serve and begins at 5:15 p.m. at Robinson High School. Floats and entries may enter from the Old Robinson Road street side at the back of the high school. Judging will be from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. only.

Floats that are not registered will not be allowed to participate. Upon registration, your entry will be provided with a registration number. The number should be displayed and clearly visible to the judges on the evening of the parade.

We ask that you designate someone to walk along the float to pass out candy. Due to safety concerns, throwing candy from the float is highly discouraged.

All participants must wear a face covering and maintain a distance of six feet from others on the float unless members of the same household. While lined up for the parade, participants should not gather in groups. Participants should also follow all CDC guidelines to help slow the spread of COVID-19; this includes not attending the parade feeling ill, coughing or sneezing into your elbow or a tissue, and using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. It is also suggested to have hand sanitizer available on each float. 

Parade spectators should follow the same precautions, making sure not to gather in groups with individuals from other households.

Cash prize for Robinson ISD entries will be $150 for the first place. A second cash prize of $150 will be awarded to the overall first place winner (excluding school entries). We encourage Classic Cars and Antique Tractors to ride in the parade; however, they are not eligible to win prizes.

Santa will be making an appearance!! We ask that no other "Santa's" participate.
