Permits and Inspections Department is here to help you with the guidelines and permits needed in order to make improvements to your home or business. The department can also assist with commercial development or redevelopment in the City of Robinson, including information for companies looking to expand or develop their business.
The City issues one permit per project. All contractors, including the general contractor must register and stay current with the city. Registration will be through MyGov and instructions can be found here.
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Schedule before 7:00 a.m. for same business day inspection.
Schedule after 7:00 a.m. for next business day inspection.
Inspection requests can be made by emailing Inspections@RobinsonTexas.org or by calling the inspection request line at (254) 242-0008. Find instructions on submitting your inspection request here.
The City of Robinson is currently using the 2018 International Code Council Series and 2017 National Electrical Code for building standards. Setback requirements can be found in the Code of Ordinances. For buildings that are on septic systems, the Waco McLennan County Public Health District governs the plans and installation.
