Due to ongoing dangerous driving conditions, and for the safety of their drivers, Waste Management will be not begin solid waste collection for Robinson until Monday, February 22nd. Their goal is to attempt collection on Saturday from hospitals and other essential facilities.
They will resume the normal route on Monday. For Monday and Tuesday they will ONLY collect items in the cart. Please do NOT place anything outside of the cart. Bags left outside of the cart will not be collected. (These limitations are in place to make sure Waste Management can service everybody and not fall further behind.)
Thursday's and Friday's routes will be collected on their regular days as well. However, Waste Management will have extra trucks available on these two days to collect bagged items that are left outside of the carts since those day’s routes have been delayed for two collection cycles.
For the upcoming week, Waste Management's goal is to get relief to everyone. We will reevaluate where we stand the following week and see where we need to go from there. With the given situation, they do not have the manpower to deploy the resources in order to collect everything leftover from this winter storm in one week so they are trying to balance it to where everyone gets help.
